Training by Invited Specialists of Germany and Europol Aimed at Development of Skills for Investigation of Cyber Crimes (photos)

The series of training courses aimed at the development of skills of individual investigators of the Committee's territorial bodies and subdivisions within high-tech crime proceedings and acquisition of electronic evidence is ongoing in the Department of Investigation of Cybercrime and High Technology Crime of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

The 13th consecutive training course was held at the RA Academy of Justice. The Head of State Criminal Investigation Office of Thuringia, FRG and 3 specialists of the office, as well as FRG officers at Europol were invited by the department to hold the course.

The theme of the two-day courses was "The fight against organized crime in Armenia and the EU. International cooperation in the fight against transnational crime". 

The delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany was received by A. Ayvazyan, Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.

He thanked the guests for the willingness to share their rich experience.

Attaching importance to the periodical training process of investigators, Arsen Ayvazyan expressed hope that the events aimed at training specialists in the field of high technologies between the two states and Europol will be of a continuous nature, taking into consideration the significance of combining joint efforts, sharing experiences and information in the dynamically developing field of combating transnational crimes.

The representatives of the delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany and Europol expressed readiness to continue the process of the RA Investigative Committee’s investigators’ training and experience exchange in the mentioned field, as well as to provide necessary consultation and methodological support for receiving data within proceedings on transnational crimes.
