Criminal Proceeding Initiated on Shots Fired by Rival towards the Factory Constructed in Yeraskh and Movable Property of Civil Significance (photos)

On June 13, 2023 at 18:30 out of racial, national, ethnic hatred, intolerance or hostility, in a way dangerous for many people’s life, with the intent to illegally deprive one or several persons of life, to spoil or destroy property, shots were fired from the combat positions of the rival towards the newly constructed factory, which is a civil facility, located in Yeraskh settlement of Ararat community of Ararat region. As a result, the car of “VAZ 2106” make parked in the factory was spoilt. It was possible to avoid human losses due to the fact that there were randomly no people at the area of the shooting direction.
 

A criminal proceeding was initiated in the Eighth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 7 and 15 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 and the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 264 of RA Criminal Code.
 

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted during which marks from a large-caliber firearm were found on the concrete pillar located at the area of the newly constructed Armenian-American metallurgical factory, administrative building, car of “Kamaz” make owned by the LLC parked in the construction site. The car of “VAZ 2106” make owned by an employee of the same factory, with a spoilt rear window, was also found at the parking lot of the same factory. The spoilt movable properties did not have any military significance.
 

Through inspection an item similar to a ball fired from a firearm of large caliber was found and taken.
 

A number of people were questioned. Decisions were made to commission forensic merchandising, forensic ballistic and forensic trace expertise.
