7 criminal cases on electoral breaches sent to court

As of April 13, 16 criminal cases were initiated on electoral breaches to be investigated by the RA Investigative Committee envisaged by RA Criminal Procedure Code recorded during NA elections held on April 2.
 

11 criminal cases out of 16 refer to attempt of voting more than once or instead of another person (Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code), 4 – to breaching confidentiality of ballot (Article 154 of RA Criminal Code) and 1 – to voting instead of another person (Article 153 of RA Criminal Code).
 

7 of the mentioned 16 criminal cases on 7 defendants were sent to court, proceeding of 1 criminal case was terminated on the base of the absence of crime.
 

Preliminary investigation of 8 criminal cases is ongoing 2 of which in Yerevan, 6 in regions (4- according to the Article 154 of RA Criminal Code, 3 – according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code, 1 – according to the Article 153 of RA Criminal Code).
 

In the framework of two criminal cases ambulatory forensic psychiatric examinations were commissioned the results of which have not been received yet.
