Woman Stab Former Husband in Kotayk Province; Criminal Case Initiated
On May 19, 2020 at about 02:00 a call was received from the RA Police informing that 30 year-old man with cut-pierced wound was taken to «Armenia» medical center from the area near the building of the former Ministry of Defense.
A criminal case was initiated in Nairi Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of heavy bodily damage) of RA Criminal Code.
Through preliminary investigation it was found out that former spouses argued at the above-mentioned area during which the woman stabbed former husband on his chest and abdomen with a kitchen knife inflicting heavy bodily damage.
Through inspection of the scene the knife was found and confiscated. Forensic examinations were commissioned.
30 year-old woman was questioned, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against her.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
