Through investigation motive of student’s murder found

Active investigatory actions are conducted in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find all circumstances of 18 year-old V. Muradyan’s murder in the center of Yerevan, to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation.
 

 It was earlier informed that on January 11, 2017 at about 15:30 a call was received from Ambulance service informing that body of Vahe Muradyan(born in December, 1998) with cut-pierced injury on the left part of the chest was found on the table of the booth located in the yard of the house 28, Vardanants Street, Yerevan, another young man Raffi Martirosyan(born in March, 1999) with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wound on the frontal surface of the left leg” was taken to “University Hospital N 1” from the same address.
 

The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts Vigen Mesropyan immediately left for the site.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. An investigatory plan was worked out and urgent investigatory actions were conducted to find all circumstances of the case.
 

As a result, sufficient data were obtained on participants, motive of the argument, as well as on the person having committed the apparent crime.
 

The injured are first year students of higher education facility – course mates, the suspect is also a first year student who studies at another faculty of the same facility.
 

According to preliminary investigation data, the argument was caused by an expression uttered by the injured and they were called to the booth located in the yard of the house 28, Vardanants Street to make clarifications. The parties with their friends met at the planned place where the argument turned into beating during which V. Muradyan and R. Martirosyan sustained cutting-piercing bodily injuries. The argument was stopped in the result of interference of a passerby after which the person having committed the apparent crime escaped together with his friends.
 

The suspect was arrested and questioned.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
