In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted, as well as operative-intelligence measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 3 persons’ stabbing committed in Sisian on July 9, 2023 the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is 22 year-old young man.
 

As it was earlier informed on July 9, 2023 at 20:00 28, 30 and 71 year-old residents of Sisian town with various degrees of cut-pierced injuries were taken to Sisian’s medical center.
 

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated with regard to the case factual data were obtained on the allegation that on July 9, 2023 at about 19:30 at the crossroad of Israyelyan and Khanjyan Streets of Sisian 28 year-old young man in his car of “VAZ 21013” make crashed into the car of “Nissan X-Trail” make driven by 72 year-old townsman after which a row erupted between the young man and people gathered there. The young man’s brother – 30 year-old man also arrived at the scene.
 

Through investigation it was found out and grounded that during the argument one of those gathered there – 22 year-old young man, out of hooligan motives, with the intent to deprive of life, stabbed the brothers on the chest, as well as 71 year-old man, separating the arguing parties, causing cut-pierced injuries on different parts of their bodies.
 

On the base of the obtained sufficient facts the investigator submitted a motion to the prosecutor to initiate a public criminal prosecution against 22 year-old young man. It was sufficed.
 

Charge was pressed against the young man according to the Point 12 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 (2 counts) and the Points 8 and 12 of the Part 2 of the Article 167 of RA Criminal Code.
 

A motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
