Charged with murder committed in a way dangerous for many people’s life

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against Aragats Tamrazyan born in 1979 for murder committed in a way dangerous for the life of many people and willful destruction of somebody’s property.

According to data of preliminary investigation, on December 24, 2013 A. Tamrazyan in “Toyota Lexus” chased “Toyota Prado” driven by Navasard Abgaryan who had argued with his brother. While chasing N. Abgaryan, A. Tamrazyan fired four shots with a gun of “Baikal” type towards him. Three of the shots hit the back glass of the car, one hit the triangular window of the back left door.

Through investigation it was found that Navasard Abgaryan, changing the direction of the car, drove halfway on the sidewalk, got out of the car and went to the road as a pedestrian. Aragats Tamrazyan continued chasing him in his car and in a way dangerous for many people’s life fired towards N. Abgaryan who was hiding at the right side of another car – “Opel Vectra”. The latter sustained bodily damage and was taken to “Dilijan medical center” where he died on December 25, 2013.

One of the shots fired by A. Tamrazyan also hit the car “Opel Vectra” inflicting considerable property damage to the car owner.

On the base of the obtained evidence on December 28, 2013 a decision on involving A. Tamrazyan as a defendant was made and search was declared against him. On August 25, 2015 the defendant was found by the appropriate subdivisions of the Police and was brought to the investigative body. He was charged according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
