Information on criminal cases on crimes committed against children in first term of 2017 investigated in RA IC proceeding

By the instruction of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee a mechanism of conduction of separate statistics of the criminal cases investigated in the RA IC proceeding on crimes committed against children was introduced in the RA Investigative Committee.

So, pursuant to statistical data, in the first term of 2017 139 criminal cases on crimes committed against children were investigated in the proceeding of the RA Investigative Committee 2 of which were in the proceeding of General Military Department of the RA Investigative Committee.  

Thus, out of 139 criminal cases

-       39 referred to sexual intercourse or sexual acts with a person under 16 envisaged by the Article 141 of RA Criminal Code,

-       14 – to battery envisaged by the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code,

-       9 – to rape envisaged by the Article 138 of RA Criminal Code,

-       2 – to violent sexual actions envisaged by the Article 139 of RA Criminal Code,

-       8 – to willful evasion from supporting one’s child by the parent envisaged by the Article 173 of RA Criminal Code,

-       6 – to lecherous acts envisaged by the Article 142 of RCriminal Code,

-       6 – to willful infliction of heavy damage to health envisaged by the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code,

-       4 – to causing somebody to commit suicide envisaged by the Article 110 of RA Criminal Code,

-       4 – to willful infliction of medium-gravity damage to health envisaged by the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code,

-       4 – to kidnapping envisaged by the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code,

-       3 – to causing death by negligence envisaged by the Article 109 of RA Criminal Code,

-       3 – to willful infliction of light damage to health envisaged by the Article 117 of RA Criminal Code,

-       3 – to trafficking of a child or a person deprived of possibility of realizing the nature and significance of his acts or their control caused by mental disorder,

-       3 – to threat to murder or to inflict heavy damage to one’s life or to destroy property envisaged by the Article 137 of RA Criminal Code,

-       2 -  to involving a minor into committal of crime envisaged by the Article 165 of RA Criminal Code,

-       1 – to inflicting grave damage by negligence envisaged by the Article 120 of RA Criminal Code,

-       1 – to murder envisaged by the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code,

-       1 – to failure to fulfill the duty of rearing the child envisaged by the Article 170 of RA Criminal Code and so on.

 

At the stage of preliminary investigation in the framework of the mentioned criminal cases 65 persons were involved as a defendant 2 of which were 14-16 years old, 6 – 16-18 years old, 45 – 18-35 years old, 12 – over 35 years old.

In the framework of criminal cases 112 persons were found as affected 36 of which were under 12, 12 – 12-14 years old, 49 – 14-16 years old, 15 – 16-18 years old.

35 criminal cases on 36 persons with the bill of indictment were sent to court.
