n the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on November 24, 2025 in the RA Investigative Committee it was found out and grounded that a foreign national reached an agreement to illegally smuggle narcotic drugs in particularly large amount - 161 kg of “Heroin” to the RA, and subsequently transport to another country for sale. Before entering the RA, he concealed the drug in a specially prepared hidden compartment located in the front section of a truck trailer.

Thereafter, A.A., by keeping 161 kg of the narcotic drug of “Heroin” type in a specially prepared hidden compartment in the front section of the truck trailer, on November 24 illegally transported it to the RA. However, due to circumstances beyond his control, he was unable to transport it to another country, as on the same day, during the customs inspection carried out by the employees of the RA State Revenue Committee, the concealed narcotic drug was discovered and A.A. was arrested. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.A. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393, the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 399 and the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 43-399 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
