In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that during the 2021 summer conscription, the father of a conscript subject to compulsory military service, together with a group of other individuals, assisted his son in attempting to evade the regular draft by means of illness simulation and other forms of deception, providing advice and instructions and removing obstacles in the process.

The crime was not completed under unforeseen circumstances, as by decision of the Central Medical Commission of the RA Ministry of Defense, the son was declared fit for military service and departed for compulsory military duty.

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding public criminal prosecution was initiated against 6 individuals according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 46-44-461 of RA Criminal Code. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
