In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, on causing property damage through deception, abuse of trust, or other unlawful means, apparent factual data were obtained indicating that the company failed to transfer the funds stipulated by the contract to the educational foundation and the regional governor’s staff.

Particularly, according to the contract signed in 2018 between the former Governor of Gegharkunik, the company, and the educational foundation, diagnostic medical services were provided to the population of the region through computer-based screening.

According to the contract, 50% of the revenue generated from more than nine computer-based screening examinations per day was to be allocated to the foundation, and 30% to the regional governor’s staff, for the purpose of addressing healthcare system issues in the region.

During the preliminary investigation it was found out that since 2018, the company failed to transfer a total amount of 91 million 049 thousand 534 AMD to the educational foundation, as well as to the staff of the Gegharkunik regional governor. This amount has been recovered.
