Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee received today Mehdi Sobhani, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, whose diplomatic service in the Republic of Armenia is ending. 

Artur Poghosyan expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his consistent efforts and personal contribution, as evidenced by the deepening cooperation between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries in recent years.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee emphasized that the joint efforts in combating transnational crimes - particularly drug trafficking, as well as the flexible mechanisms of bilateral cooperation, have contributed to the prompt exchange of information on legal matters and their effective resolution.

The Ambassador, in turn, expressed his gratitude to Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee for the progress achieved across all areas of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that effective work had been carried out to enhance the efficiency of information exchange concerning the citizens of the two countries and the execution of investigative requests, and expressed hope that these efforts would continue in a consistent manner.
