In the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on July 15, 2025 V.M. entered the citizen service cashier located at the bank area, and taking the sealed bag placed on the ground, containing money in particularly large amount, 80 million Russian rubles, equivalent to 392.912 AMD, ran out of the bank building and proceeded toward the car parked on the opposite sidewalk.  

Subsequently, two individuals pursued and apprehended V.M. near the car. In an effort to retain unlawful possession of the stolen funds, V.M. deliberately used physical force against them by deploying tear gas. However, meeting resistance, he abandoned the bag containing the funds and fled the scene.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against V.M. according to the Point 4 of the Part 3 of the Article 44-252 of RA Criminal Code.
Home detention and absence ban were used as a pretrial measure against him. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
