The Chairman of RA Investigative Committee received the delegation headed by the Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia Kathleen Canning

The Chairman of RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan today received the delegation headed by the Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia Kathleen Canning.

The Assistant Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, Agent of U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Mrs. Marlene Benson, Supervisory Special Agent of Eurasia Division of International Cooperation Department of U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Rick Etsler, experts on biometric examinations were also present at the meeting.

The parties considered issues on cooperation in disclosure of crimes. The representatives of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation presented the results of investigatory actions conducted in the USA in reply to the query of RA Investigative Committee on providing legal aid in the framework of the criminal case investigated in RA Investigative Committee initiated on swindling state funds in particularly large amount, they presented the obtained evidence, as well.

Assessing highly the implemented work, the Chairman of RA Investigative Committee A. Hovsepyan stated that the obtained evidence will not only contribute to comprehensive examination of the criminal case on swindling in particularly large amount, but also will become a firm base for cooperation in different criminal cases between the investigative bodies of the two countries, as well as for disclosure of crimes.

The parties achieved certain arrangements on continuing and developing the cooperation.
