Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case on Hooliganism Committed in Armavir Completed

In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of hooliganism committed by 50 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin town and his son were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on July 28, 2021 at about 14:30, being under the influence of alcohol, 50 year-old man went to Ejmiatsin division of Aragatsotn and Armavir regional division of Compulsory enforcement service to get information about proceedings initiated about him. Compulsory enforcement officers directed him to the fast service room to get the necessary information faster. Then the latter, in order to emphasize his own self, started scolding the compulsory enforcement officers after which they invited him out of the division.

In two days after the incident – on July 30 at about 15:00 50 year-old man, his son, brother and son-in-law entered the above-mentioned division of Compulsory enforcement service, where 50 year-old man and his son, showing obvious disrespect towards public, scolded and hit the head of the division on different parts of his body. Then realizing that the employees of the division had called the police they fled.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 50 year-old man and his son according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
