Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case Initiated on Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage to Minor Resident of Ejmiatsin Completed

In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of causing heavy bodily injury to minor resident of Ejmiatsin town were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on September 4, 2019 from 21:00 to 22:00 in the park located in Charents district the minor resident of Ejmiatsin, born in 2003, together with his friend met another resident of the same town to make clarifications on personal matters. The latter’s father intervened in the conversation. 16 year-old boy scolded him, a row erupted and the juvenile willfully stabbed another minor resident of Ejmiatsin involved in the argument on his abdomen causing heavy bodily damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the juvenile according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (infliction of willful heavy damage to health) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
