Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case Initiated on Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage to Fellow Citizen Committed by Vanadzor Resident Completed

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to somebody else’s health was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through investigation it was found out that on May 7, 2020 at about 11:30 74 year-old resident of Vanadzor, noticing 64 year-old fellow citizen and his dogs at the back of his house, wanted to get the animals out of his area. But a row on the mentioned issue erupted between them during which 74 year-old man willfully stabbed his fellow citizen on the right part of the chest causing heavy damage threatening to life.  

Besides, 74 year-old man in his house illegally kept coal gunpowder which is classified as an explosive device which was found and confiscated on May 7, 2020 through search of the mentioned house.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 74 year-old resident of Vanadzor according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (Infliction of willful heavy damage to health) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
