Illegal turnover of narcotic drugs revealed; charge pressed against 2 people

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee illegal turnover of narcotic drugs was revealed, charge was pressed against two people.

Pursuant to initial data, on November 16, 2017 at one of the trade centers operating in Yerevan the resident, born in 1969, illegally obtained drug of “Buprenorphin” type for money.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 266 and the Part 2 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which was conducted in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department.

In the result of necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found, the person selling the drug was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1966.

In the result of objective investigation actual data were obtained on the involvement of the same people in other criminal acts, as well.

On the base of the sufficient evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against the man, born in 1969, according to the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 268 and the Part 1 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code (2 counts). Charge was pressed against the man, born in 1966, according to the Part 1 of the Article 266 and the Part 4 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
