Husband Detained for Setting Wife on Fire with Lighter
Taking into consideration that the publications about the case of violence against wife committed by husband is widely disseminated on the mass media, the RA Investigative Committee informs that based on A.A.’s report on February 26 a criminal proceeding was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department.
On December 13, 2024 in one of the villages in Armavir the husband beat his wife, poured construction paint and alcohol on the latter and willfully set fire with a lighter.
On the base of the factual data obtained in the course of preliminary investigation public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.H. according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 166 of RA Criminal Code.
Detention was imposed as a pretrial measure to A.H..
