Artur Poghosyan Presented Report on Investigative Committee’s Activity in 2024 at National Assembly
Artur Poghosyan presented the report on the activity of the RA Investigative Committee in 2024 at the April 22 session of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the RA National Assembly.
Presenting the report on the structure’s activity in 2024, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee noted that in the reporting period 69.415 reports were received on 58.085 of which a criminal proceeding was initiated. Namely, the number of the criminal proceedings has increased by 12,5 % as compared to the previous year.
According to Artur Poghosyan’s report, in 2024 478 criminal proceedings were investigated regarding the crimes committed by minors, 167 of which had been transferred from 2023, 311 proceedings were received in 2024. 145 active proceedings were transferred to 2025.
In 2024 2.309 criminal proceedings were investigated in the Investigative Committee regarding domestic violence, 761 of which had been transferred from 2023, 1.548 proceedings were received in 2024.
Artur Poghosyan answered the deputies’ questions presenting details on some proceedings, as well as on work aimed at staffing the structure.
