According to the report received in the RA Investigative Committee from the RA National Security Service, RA citizen A.T., being a political figure who supported the "Armenia" alliance of parties in the 2021 parliamentary elections and a member of the National Assembly included in the national electoral list of the same alliance, recruited by foreign intelligence services during 2024, during the same period committed espionage under the instruction of the representative of a foreign special services, who was the director of the “Russia Caucasus” geopolitical center. He illegally collected information containing state secrets, translated into Russian, regarding the process and results of the hearings held in a closed, secret session of the National Assembly in April 2024 and transferred to the latter for money in particularly large amount - 622 thousand USD, thereby committing state treason to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and external security of the Republic of Armenia. 

Based on the report received from the RA National Security Service, a criminal proceeding was initiated in General Department for Investigation of Crimes against the State, Fundamentals of the Constitutional Order and Public Security of the RA Investigative Committee on state treason (the Part 1 of the Article 418 of RA Criminal Code) and espionage (the Part 1 of the Article 424 of RA Criminal Code).
