In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee factual data were obtained on the allegation that on August 14, 2025 M.D. and A.T.’s supporters met under the bridge, on Yerevan–Ashtarak main highway, on the road leading to the settlement of Proshyan, during which the parties shouted mutual insults and inflicted physical blows to one another.  

Subsequently, A.T. discharged no fewer than five shots from a firearm kept illegally in the direction of the participants of the opposing party, as a result of which M.D. died. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.T. according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
