As a result of investigative actions conducted, as well as operative-intelligence measures taken jointly with NSS officers in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee, circumstances of smuggling of 20 kg narcotic drugs of various types for the purpose of sale and selling them later in the RA, were found out. 

Particularly, during the preliminary investigation it was grounded that the resident of Yerevan A.M. and the resident of Vanadzor H.D., with prior agreement, for the purpose of sale, with the intent to illegally acquire narcotic drugs in particularly large amount through smuggling, on February 2, 2026 took the polyethylene bags filled with narcotic drugs, put them in the car, moved them to a hotel located in Ararat region and hid them there. However, they were arrested by the NSS officers. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.M. and H.D. according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393 and the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 46-399 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against them.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
