As a result of large-scale investigative and procedural actions conducted in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out and grounded that from November, 2022 to May, 2023 the doctor of “Armenia” medical center A.S. supported her relative G.S. to illegally sell his organ - kidney for 40 - 60 thousand USD.

Particularly, being intended to sell one of his kidneys, G.S. turned to his relative - doctor in “Armenia” medical center, and during numerous telephone conversations with her they discussed the circumstances of finding a kidney buyer and selling it for 40-60 thousand USD. 

Learning that T.T., due to health problems, was in need of a kidney transplant, the doctor gave his personal data to G.S. to establish contact with him and reach agreement on illegally selling his kidney to him. However, seeing T.T.’s poor health condition, and realizing that after selling the kidney, his health might deteriorate in the same way, G.S. refused to sell his kidney, and T.T. did not know that G.S. was going to demand a certain amount of money for his kidney. 

Thus, public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.S., doctor of “Armenia” medical center, according to the Part 1 of the Article 43-183 of RA Criminal Code. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
