Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on murder committed on November 10, 2025 behind the bus stop near the building on Republic Street in Abovyan town, was completed in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

As a result of procedural and evidentiary actions conducted in the course of the preliminary investigation, it was found out that brothers A.S. and B.S., being in hostile relations with S.Z., on November 10, 2025 learning that the latter was behind the bus stop near the building on Republic Street in Abovyan town, went there with the intention of committing the crime included in their intent.

Getting to the scene, according to the previously made role distribution, B.S. approached S.Z. and S.T., in order to attract the attention of the opposing party, and during that time, A.S. took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed S.Z. at least eight times on vital organs of the victim, the chest and abdomen. Seeing the first stab, B.S. grabbed the victim by his neck, pulled back neutralizing his resistance and giving A.S. the opportunity to hit S.Z. unhindered, throwing him to the ground.

Subsequently, S.Z., wanting to avoid being stabbed, ran to the area in front of the bus stop, and A.S. followed him and stabbed the victim four more times, killing him.

Besides, the brothers stole the gun and 5 bullets from the victim lying on the ground behind the bus stop.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.S. and B.S. according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 and the Part 1 of the Article 338 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against brothers. 

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
