Drugs Found in Body of Person who Visited Convict in October 2025; Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Completed

 

In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that on October 27, 2025 a package wrapped in adhesive tape was found on the body of A.D., who had visited A.A., a convict serving a sentence in a penitentiary institution, for a short visit.  

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.D. according to the Points 3 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 393 of RA Criminal Code, against A.A. - according to the Part 2 of the Article 44-396 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against A.D..

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor. 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
