The Chairman of the Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan Presented 2026 Budget Allocations in the National Assembly
On November 5, 2025, Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee presented the 2026 budget allocations of the Investigative Committee at the joint session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committees on Defense and Security, and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
Artur Poghosyan noted that within the framework of the 2026 budgetary process, one main program will be implemented, which includes five measures.
The expenditure commitment for the single main program to be implemented by the Investigative Committee, “Investigative Services of the RA”, amounts to 19.2 billion AMD (compared to 18.98 billion AMD in 2025). The objective of the program is to organize and conduct preliminary investigation into alleged crimes falling under the jurisdiction of the Investigative Committee, as prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code.
At the joint session of the Standing Committees of the National Assembly Artur Poghosyan presented the measures to be taken within the framework of the program “Investigative Services of the RA”.
Particularly,
1․Under the 2026 budget allocations, 17.74 billion AMD (compared to 16.89 billion AMD in 2025) has been allocated for the measure “Conduct of Criminal Proceedings.”
2.22.4 million AMD - 730 trainees (compared to 23.4 million AMD - 775 trainees in 2025) has been allocated for the measure “Organization of Training and Preparation.”
3.318.1 million AMD (compared to 316.8 million AMD in 2025) has been allocated for the measure “Reserve Fund of the RA Investigative Committee”.
4.721.8 million AMD (the same amount as in 2025) has been allocated for the measure “Provision of Expert Services”.
5.400 million AMD (compared to 990.2 million AMD in 2025) has been allocated for the measure “Improvement of the Building Conditions of the RA Investigative Committee.”
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee Artur Poghosyan also answered the NA Deputies’ questions.
