Public Criminal Prosecution Initiated against Person Having Committed Murder in Aramus

 

On October 12, 2025 a report was received in the Operational Management Center of Kotayk Regional Police Department informing that two bodies with gunshot wounds were found in the fields of the village of Aramus.

In the result of joint measures taken together with the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, factual data were obtained on the allegation that on October 12, 2025, during a dispute over domestic issues in a plot of land near the field road leading from the village of Aramus in Kotayk region to Nor Gyugh, T.H. fired shots from a smoothbore rifle, owned by him, in the direction of M.S. and G.Gh., residents of the same village. As a result, they died. 

Subsequently, operative information was received in Kotayk Regional Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, informing that immediately after committing the apparent crime, on the field road of the village of Zovashen, Kotayk region, T.H. fired shots from the rifle owned by him, in the direction of V.M. and M.H., killing them. 

Immediately after the incident T.H. seized the car belonging to V.M..
On the same day T.H. was arrested by the police officers on the base of reasonable suspicion of having committed the mentioned crime and was brought to the investigative body. He gave a self-incriminating testimony. 

A decision was made to join the criminal proceedings in one proceeding. An investigative group was formed. 
The smoothbore rifle, owned by T.H. was found in the car seized by the latter. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against T.H. according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 (2 counts), the Points 10, 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 (2 counts) and the Points 5 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 252 of RA Criminal Code. 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding is ongoing. 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
