The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on tax evasion in particularly large amount committed by a company engaged in the production, import, and sale of pharmaceuticals, through the inclusion of falsified data in documents serving as the basis for taxation-specifically in the unified calculations of value added tax and excise tax, as well as in profit tax declarations is conducted in General Department for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the RA Investigative Committee.  

In the result of large-scale evidentiary and procedural actions conducted in the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding 1 billion AMD of the damage caused to the state has been recovered.
