Within the framework of the official visit paid to the People’s Republic of China, Artur Poghosyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee met Wang Xiaohong, the Minister of Public Security. The RA Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China also took part in the meeting. 

Artur Poghosyan assessed highly the role of the 2025 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum as a global platform for collaboration between law enforcement bodies and expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the forum, as well as for the warm reception.

The Minister of Public Security of People’s Republic of China emphasized the RA Investigative Committee’s willingness to cooperate, noting that Armenian-Chinese relations are based on friendship, mutual respect, and trust, encompassing various fields, including public security provision and cooperation between law enforcement bodies.

In his speech, the Minister of Public Security emphasized the recent visits to China by high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia and noted that the Chinese party is ready to jointly implement key agreements with the Armenian party and to establish ways of cooperation in the fields of law enforcement and security.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the fight against transnational crimes, particularly the illegal turnover of narcotic drugs. They also exchanged views on enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement bodies in the fields of cybercrime and high technology, uniting efforts to ensure the secure advancement of joint projects, and deepening cooperation in the area of investigators’ training, all aimed at promoting the continued development of bilateral relations from a new starting point.

At the end of the meeting the Chairman of the Investigative Committee and the Minister of Public Security reached agreement on institutional strengthening of existing relations and expanding practical cooperation between law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China.
