27 year-old Man Arrested on Suspicion of Committing Banditry against Employee of Currency Exchange Service
In the result of comprehensive investigation conducted within the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code banditry committed against the employee of the currency exchange service was disclosed.
It was earlier informed that on June 12, 2022 at about 22:50 a masked person armed with a grenade, with the intend to steal money in particularly large amount, entered the currency exchange service located at the trade center, pulled the grenade ring, threatening to use violence dangerous for the employee’s health and life stole 4.400.000 AMD available at the currency exchange service and fled.
In the result of necessary investigative and other procedural actions, as well as operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is 27 year-old resident of Yerevan.
The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
