Hayk Mkrtich Grigoryan
Third Class State Councilor of Justice

He was born on September 15, 1976 in Yerevan.
From 1994 to 1996 he served in the RA Armed Forces.

In 2001 he graduated from Prosecutor-Investigative Department of the Special Faculty of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in external way with excellence – with gold medal, receiving a degree in "law", a qualification as a "lawyer".

In 2009 he graduated from the post-graduate course of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and defended a doctoral dissertation entitled “Investigation of Crimes Committed by servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia in Areas of Armed Conflicts” receiving a scientific degree of candidate of legal sciences.

In 2021 he graduated from the Doctoral studies by correspondence at the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “International Legal and Organizational Foundations for Investigation of War Crimes Committed by Conflicting Parties during Armed Conflict”,  he was granted the scientific degree of Doctor of Legal Sciences.

From 08.2001 to 12.2001 he was an intern-investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Martakert Garrison.
From 2001 to 2002 - he was an intern-investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Garrison N 2. 
From 2002 to 2003 – an investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Hadrut Garrison.
From 2003 to 2005 he was an investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Gyumri Garrison. From 02.2005 to 09.2005 - a senior investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Martakert Garrison.
From 2005 to 2006 - senior investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Hadrut.
From 03.2006 to 08.2006 - senior investigator at the Military Prosecutor's Office of Martakert Garrison.
From 2009 to 2010 - senior investigator at the Division of Control, Methodology and Analyses of Investigative Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
From 2010 to 2011 – Head of the Second Garrison Investigative Division of Investigative Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
From 2011 to 2014 – Deputy Head of the Investigative Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
From 2015 to 2018 - Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee – Head of General Military Investigative Department.
From 2018 to 2021 he was the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.

By the RA President's decree of July 3, 2019 Hayk Grigoryan was granted a degree of Third Class State Councilor of Justice.

During the working activity he has been awarded a number of departmental and other awards. In 2015 and 2017 he was awarded the Prime Minister's commemorative medal, in 2016 – Weapon, “BERETTA 92 A1” model pistol, in 2019 – “CZ-75D COMPACT” model pistol. 

He is married and has two children.
