In the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on November 8, 2024 during the argument that took place at the public area located in Artashat community among a group of people mutual shots were fired. As a result, one of those involved in the argument died. 

Besides, during the argument one of those involved stabbed a minor with a cutting-piercing item, illegally depriving him of life. 
In the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding it was also found out that the brother of the person having committed the apparent crime took the hunting gun, which was the instrument of crime, and hid it in his residence. 

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against one person according to the Part 1 of the Article 334, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 (2 counts) of RA Criminal Code, against one person according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171 and the Points 4 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171 of RA Criminal Code, against two persons according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171, the Points 4 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171 and the Points 5 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code, and against one person according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171, the Points 4 and 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 171, the Points 7 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 334 of RA Criminal Code. 

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against two persons, absence ban was applied against three persons as a pretrial measure.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
