Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding Initiated on Murder Preparation Completed

 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on the case of preparation of murder in connection with the report received from the RA National Security Service was completed in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee․

In the course of preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that in July, 2025 S.S. prepared A.S.’s murder.

Particularly, with the intent to illegally deprive A.S. of life, to prepare murder, under unknown circumstances S.S. willfully procured and kept the instrument of the crime, a factory-made "F-1" combat hand grenade with a "UZRGM" detonator, in his residence.

Then, with the intent to commit A.S.’s murder with a combat grenade, not being able to find out the latter’s residential address, S.S. started studying his office in Yerevan and the surrounding areas, and for that purpose, he repeatedly visited the area adjacent to the office. In the absence of A.S. in the office, S.S., under unforeseen circumstances, was unable to begin the commitment of the objective aspect of the crime included in the intent, and the further actions were prevented, as the instrument of the crime, the combat hand grenade was found in the result of the search conducted together with the employees of the National Security Service in S.S.’s residence.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against S.S. according to the Part 1 of the Article 43-155 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.  

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor.
