Artur Poghosyan ,the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee received today Alessandro Ferranti, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the RA. 

Welcoming the Ambassador, Artur Poghosyan attached importance to the close cooperation established between the law enforcement systems of the two countries. 

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee for the willingness shown to ensure the continuity of cooperation between the parties.

During the meeting Artur Poghosyan referred to the mutual assistance requests sent by the Investigative Committee to Italian law enforcement bodies within the framework of mutual legal assistance, as well as the legal assistance provided within criminal proceedings, noting with satisfaction that in a number of cases, requests received within the framework of mutual legal assistance have been of significant importance in resolving the course of criminal proceedings of public resonance.

The parties discussed the possibilities of exchanging experience in the field of expertise and the use of technological means, joint professional training of investigators, and mutual visits.

At the end of the meeting the parties reached agreements to further expand mutual ties, ensure close cooperation, and carry out work aimed at experience exchange.
