A.O. Made Public Calls for Violence, Committed Hooliganism, and Obstructed Election Campaign. Public Criminal Prosecution Initiated
In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding investigated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that on March 22, 2026 A.O. using information and communication technologies, through his Facebook account, motivated by political views, made public posts, intentionally issuing public calls for violence against the RA Prime Minister.
In addition, after learning about the election campaign to be conducted on May 18, 2026, in Arabkir administrative district by the RA Prime Minister and other members of the “Civil Contract” Party, A.O., with the intent to obstruct their election campaign activities, after making a post on his personal Facebook account, arrived at the courtyard of building 7, Vratsakan Street in Arabkir administrative district and, taking advantage of the public nature of the campaign and the presence of a large number of citizens gathered there, disrupted the normal course of the election campaign.
Subsequently, A.O. demonstrated obvious disrespect toward society and a contemptuous attitude toward legal and moral norms, namely by shouting profanities and obscene expressions, while ignoring the calls of those present to respect and observe the rules of public conduct, thereby disturbing public order.
In the course of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.O. according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 330, the Part 1 of the Article 297 and the Part 1 of the Article 211 of RA Criminal Code.
A.O. was detained.
