Within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, on October 20, 2025 investigative actions were conducted in the administrative building of Gyumri Municipality by the investigators of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, which were supported by the police officers of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  

In an attempt to obstruct the investigative actions being conducted, a group of individuals gathered near the administrative building of Gyumri Municipality, including at its entrances and within the building. By engaging in various disruptive acts, they interfered with the investigation and committed mass disorders posing a threat to public safety. These actions were accompanied by the use of violence, destruction, and damage to property, in the course of which acts of violence were also committed against police officers with the intent to obstruct the lawful performance of their official duties.

On October 20, 2025 a criminal proceeding was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 327, the Part 3 of the Article 452, and the Part 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 486 of RA Criminal Code.

Conduction of the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding was assigned to the investigative group. 

The Investigative Committee warns that any obstruction or interference by individuals with the lawful professional activities of law enforcement bodies may, in accordance with the RA legislation, lead to criminal liability. Under these circumstances, we urge all individuals to refrain from any manifestations of unlawful behavior.
