Through Searches Conducted in Apartments of Leaders and Participants of Criminal Group Large Quantities of Objects and Items Intended for Crime Found
Within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated with regard of the cases on terrorism and usurping power by the leaders and participants of the movement called “Sacred Struggle” more than 9 dozen searches have been conducted by the investigators of the RA Investigative Committee together with the employees of the RA National Security Service and the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs. As a result, items and documents related to the aforementioned crimes, confirming the data obtained during the preliminary investigation, as well as other undeniable factual data of evidentiary significance, among them firearm and ammunition, action plans, lists of recruited individuals, metal items, firecrackers, smoke emitting means, military uniform, radio communication equipment, drones, herbal substances similar to drugs, a list of persons appointed to relevant positions in the executive branch after the violent seizure of power, documents on the detailed planning, sequence, and chronology of illegal actions to be carried out by a criminal group were found.
On the base of the investigator’s motion decisions were made by the prosecutor to initiate public criminal prosecution against 16 individuals, which were sufficed.
As of this moment, based on the investigator’s decisions, 14 individuals were arrested.
The Investigative Committee will issue an additional statement on the further course of the criminal proceeding.
