Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Proceeding on Violent Sexual Actions against Schoolgirls Committed by A.Ts. Completed

In the course of preliminary investigation conducted within the criminal proceeding initiated in the Department for Investigation of Crimes against Humanity of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that the teacher in one of Yerevan schools regularly had committed sexual acts against two female students from the same school.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.TS. according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 198 (4 counts) and the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 198 (3 counts) of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was applied as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
