Through preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee apparent factual data were obtained on the allegation that L.M., R.G. and S.K., residents of Yerevan, with prior agreement, in September, 2024 prepared obvious theft of golden jewelry and other valuable goods in particularly large amount, worth about 77 million 446 thousand AMD to 116 million169 thousand AMD, owned by spouses living in Gegharkunik region. However, they could not commit the crime as it was disclosed by the RA National Security Service.

Besides, L.M. and R.G. reached prior agreement on stealing money in particularly large amount – 3 million 870 thousand AMD from an unidentified person engaged in currency exchange using violence by means of electric shock.

Public criminal prosecution was initiated against L.M. and S.K. according to the Points 2 and 4 of the Part 3 of the Article 43-253 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was imposed as a pretrial measure to them.

The criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment on L.M. and S.K. was sent to the prosecutor for approval and referral to court.
