Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on using violence against the inspector of Traffic Police was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.
Through preliminary investigation it was found that on March 9, 2015 at about 02:00 the citizen S. Navasardyan, being under the influence of alcohol with 4 more persons, approached the representatives of RA Traffic Police who were implementing enhanced service at the beginning of Shirak road in town Vanadzor.
S. Navasardyan asked ironically if the inspectors had stopped their car then he offered to buy a cigarette for him. Not obeying the Road Patrol Service inspector A. Qocharyan’s legal demands to leave the service area and not to hinder the service, Navasardyan scolded, used violence against the inspector dangerous for his health and life inflicting him bodily damages.
On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding S. Navasardyan was charged according to the Part 2 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.
The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
