A criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of Kurtan village, V. Gevorgyan.
On August 28, 2015 a call was received in “Stepanavan Medical Center” CJSC informing that on the same day at about 20:00 the resident of Kurtan village of Lori region, V. Gevorgyan born in 1999 was taken to the mentioned medical center with “cut-pierced damage on the frontal part of the abdomen”. He died there without gaining consciousness.
A criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.
In the framework of the criminal case on August 28, 2015 the resident of Kurtan village, S. Gevorgyan was arrested on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime. He confessed that on the same day – August 28 at about 20:00 he stabbed V. Gevorgyan with a knife used by him.
The knife which was the crime tool was found through inspection of “Opel Astra 2.0I” which belonged to S. Gevorgyan.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective examination of circumstances of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
