A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt.
On April 5, 2019 at about 08:10 a call was received in Police Division of Malatia informing that shots were fired in the yard of one of the houses of Andranik Street of South-Western district and there was an injured person.
The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene.
It was found out that a resident of Yerevan, born in 1979, with a firearm injury was taken to “Astghik” medical center from the mentioned address.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions a number of circumstances of the case, including the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1962. The latter was arrested on suspicion of murder attempt and illegal keeping of weapon.
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
