Investigation is conducted in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of the attempt of occupation of the building of the RA Government.
On January 28, 2021 at about 17:00 during the meeting held in Republic Square of Yerevan an attempt of occupation of the building of the RA Government was committed with prior agreement by a group of people.
A criminal case was initiated in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-219 (occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) of RA Criminal Code.
During preliminary investigation 5 people were arrested on suspicion of occupation of the building of the RA Government.
Preliminary investigation is conducted.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
