Necessary investigative and procedural actions are conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of causing firearm injury to 32 year-old resident of Vosketap settlement.
On November 7, 2022 at 12:25 a call was received informing that 32 year-old man with a diagnosis of “fractional firearm injury on the right lower limb” was taken to Vedi’s medical center then to “Erebuni” medical center of Yerevan.
A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 167 of RA Criminal Code. 32 year-old man was found the injured party.
In the result of urgent measures a number of circumstances of causing the man the mentioned injury were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is 37 year-old resident of the same settlement.
During preliminary investigation inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical expertise was commissioned, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated.
Necessary measures are taken to find 37 year-old man, as well as the firearm which was the instrument of the crime and present to the investigative body.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
